We received the very sad news of the death John Lynch, who was the former principal of the Sacred Heart of Jesus national school in Huntstown.
John founded the school and was principal from 1983 - 2008.
He was an inspirational, progressive and passionate school leader and was a great support to our shcool when we were set up in 2001.
He will be sorely missed by his colleagues and many friends in the school and parish of Huntstown.
We send our sincerest sympathies and prayers to his wife Sally, his family and to the school community in Huntstown.
