Dear Parent/Guardian,
The school has updated its Internet Acceptable Use Policy and is asking all parents and pupils in the school to fully support the policy.
The aim of the Acceptable Use Policy is to ensure that students will benefit from learning opportunities offered by the school’s Internet resources in a safe and effective manner.
Internet use and access is considered a school resource and privilege. Therefore, if the school AUP is not adhered to, this privilege will be withdrawn and appropriate sanctions as outlined in the AUP will be imposed.
Parents are asked to read the policy carefully and discuss it with their children.
A note has been sent home asking parents to indicate their support for the policy in writing. Pupils are also asked to read and sign the Child Permission slip which relates to the policy. This page should then be returned to the school.
If parents need clarification in relation to this, please contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Enda McGorman
