Christmas Preparations!

There is a special air of excitement around the school as the children prepare to celebrate Christmas in the school and in their homes.

Carol Service

The staff and children have been busy preparing songs and carols for our evening Carol Service. We are delighted that we are able to go back to Hunstown Church, which has been restored beautifully after the fire. It will take place on Wednesday the 12th December at 7:30 pm. All the children in the Senior school and their parents are invited to the church in Huntstown for an evening of carols and songs which will be performed by the children of the senior school. We hope that the Carol Service will give us the opportunity to come together and share in the festive spirit. Children should be in the church no later than 7:15.

On the night of the Carol service it is planned to have a collection. Half of the proceeds will be given to the Dublin 15 Hospice movement and the other half to the parish here in Littlepace.

Spaces Strictly Limited

You will appreciate that with almost 500 pupils involved in the Carol Service and with their parents invited, we are not in a position to accommodate younger brothers and sisters or extended family members at the service, due to the limited capacity of the church. In fact, with the refurbishments in the church, there is less space than in previous years, so this stipulation must be strictly enforced.

We cannot organise this event without the co-operation of all parents

- please comply with this request!

Santa Hats: The children are asked to come to the Carol Service dressed in their school uniform. They are also asked to have a plain red Santa hat with a white bobble. Please make sure that you put your child’s name on the hat!

Christmas Coffee Morning and Carol Singing:

A reminder from the PA that this year’s Christmas coffee morning will take place on Wednesday the 19th December after drop off in Castaheany Community centre here in the Senior School. Please come and join us for what will be a great social morning full of chat, laughter and Christmas spirit. Everybody is welcome and there will be a little corner set up for the kiddies. We look forward to seeing you on the morning.

Carol Singing Outdoors

Reminder: Date for your Diary: Our outdoor Carol Singing Event will be at 1pm on Wednesday morning the 19th December (weather permitting), in the 3rd class yard. All parents are invited to come along and join in the festive cheer!

Festivities will end on Friday morning, the 21st with a disco for the senior school children in the Senior Hall. School closes at 12noon on the day.

Homework Passes

Homework passes are now on sale from the office. Pupils can purchase a maximum of two passes for use in the run-up to Christmas. They cost €2 each, and can be used from the 4th December. This is a very important fund-raiser for the school and we ask everyone to support it.

St Vincent de Paul Giving Tree

Thank you so much to everyone who has generously donated gifts for the St Vincent de Paul Giving Tree. The gifts will be collected on the 12th of December. So there is still time for those who wish to make a donation.
