Dear parents,
We hope that you are well and that you and your family are keeping safe in these challenging times for all of us.
There are a number of matters that we wish to bring to your attention:
Increased Vigilance in Fighting the Spread of Covid-19
As you all know, we are at a critical time across the country, and in Dublin in particular, in attempting to minimize the spread of Covid-19.
We are asking parents to join with us in re-doubling our efforts to stop the spread of the virus.
Specifically, we are asking parents to:
Always wear a mask if you are coming onto the campus
Minimize the amount of time that you spend on the campus
Make sure that you practice social distancing at all times on the campus, staying 2m apart from other adults
Continue to follow public health advice in your homes and in the wider community.
We hope that by adhering to these measures, we will continue to make our schools safe for everyone.
Arrangements for Halloween
As Halloween approaches, we want to let you know how it will be celebrated in the school.
We are very conscious of the need to balance infection control with the desire to continue with traditional school practices as normal.
We want to give parents advanced notice of what we will be doing on the last day of school before mid-term break. We will be celebrating Halloween on Friday the 23rd October.
Fancy Dress Costumes
Children can dress up and come to school in fancy dress costumes as in other years.
However, we are asking children NOT to wear face masks or other face coverings, in the interest of hygiene.
Again, in the interest of hygiene, children should NOT bring additional hand-held accessories on the day either (such as wands, swords, etc.)
We trust that you will understand why this is necessary and that you will give your full co-operation.
Treats
Children can bring a small treat to school on the day, to have in school under the supervision of their teacher.
