Last October all of our 4th and 6th classes had the opportunity to work on Lego Robotics with the Lego Spike Essential kits which we had on loan from Dublin West Education Centre. The Lego Spike Essential Kits are now back in the school for all of our 3rd and 5th classes for the duration of two weeks!
All of our children who have worked with the Lego Robotics so far, have been busy working together in small groups to create and design their own motor car and funfair ride using Lego Spike Robotics technology and devising a code using the app on their ipad.
Each child gets the opportunity to work together using an enquiry based approach, solving problems in their groups throughout the whole engineering design process.
Throughout the process, the children are building on a mindset of continual improvement and design as well as learning and developing 21st century skills within the classroom setting.
Have a look at some of the amazing projects created by our 3rd and 5th class students!
