Appeal for First Communion Dresses!

Dear parents/guardians,

We would greatly appreciate your support for this fabulous initiative organised by Lesley Anne Clare, who has children in both the Junior and Senior schools. All funds raised will go the Little Blue Heroes Charity which support terminally ill and children with disabilities. We hope you like the photo attached of our own Little Blue Hero!

The aim is to collect preloved Communion clothes in advance of a clothes sale on March 4th for families with children making their First Holy Communion this year. This is a welcome opportunity to purchase clothes for the occasion at a reasonable cost - especially at a time of rising costs of living for all. As a parent Lesley Anne knows only too well how costly these days can be!

All dresses and suits will be under €50 and all proceeds will go directly to the Little Blue Heroes Charity with a representative present on the day of sale.

We know there are so many children in our community would love the thought of helping out by donating Items or wearing something that has been pre loved - all for a fantastic cause.

Lesley Anne's daughter Amelie is delighted to give up her dress and her sister Robyn is excited to buy hers on March 4th for her First Communion on May 27th.

The drop off point is at our local church here is Littlepace from 8am till 2pm Monday to Friday until March 1st. Please hang your items on the rail inside the church.

The sale takes place in Castaheany Community Centre on March 4th from 12 pm.

Please see further information in the attached posters along with permission from the charity for items to be collected.

Please spread the word about this great idea,

Best regards,

Alma Moran Enda McGorman
