We are extremely proud of our fantastic STEM Ambassador Team, who have enthusiastically embraced the Dream Space Ambassador Programme throughout the year. Our ambassadors participated in a wide range of online training sessions and workshops including Computational Thinking, Micro:bit Technology, Hour of Code with Minecraft Education, Safer Internet Day, Older Wiser Learning, and MakeCode Arcade.
Throughout the programme, our ambassadors have grown enormously in confidence, leadership, teamwork, and digital skills. They have also played a vital mentoring role within our school by supporting and guiding younger classes in a variety of exciting STEM activities, including:
LEGO Robotics with 3rd and 4th Classes
Micro:bit Technology with 5th Classes
Minecraft Education with 4th Classes
Our STEM Ambassador Team was made up of eight outstanding 5th Class students:
Liam K, Gabriela, Liam R, Mia, Artiom, Hala, Niall, and Sophie.
In addition to participating in the Dream Space Ambassador Programme, the team also successfully hosted our school’s very first whole-school STEAM Exhibition in November. They did a fantastic job showcasing STEM learning and creativity across the school community.
The ambassadors also worked alongside our parent volunteer, Gary McLoughlin from Microsoft Ireland, to help host and deliver an exciting Hour of MakeCode Arcade for all of our 3rd Classes in March. Their enthusiasm, confidence, and leadership shone throughout the event.
A very special highlight of the year was attending their graduation ceremony on Friday, 15th May at the Microsoft Headquarters in Leopardstown. It was a truly memorable experience for all involved and inspired many of the students to continue their involvement in STEM and to consider future careers in technology and engineering.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our ambassadors for their hard work, dedication, and positivity throughout the year.
Well done boys and girls — you have been amazing ambassadors for our school! We look forward to even more fun, innovation, and STEM learning next year in our STEM Ambassador Programme.
A huge thanks to Ms. Greene for all her fantastic work with the group!
