Happy Mid-Term Break Everyone!

Dear parents,

It's Friday evening and the end of the first half-term of 2021!

As I said to the pupils in my video message this evening this is not the start to 2021 that we had anticipated, but I want to congratulate all of the children on the hard work and engagement that they have made with remote learning.

This week we celebrated Friendship Week in the school and all of the teachers were impressed with the great work the children presented and the different activities they engaged in during Friendship Week.

I want to pay a special tribute to everybody who helped putting the Anniversary Service together for Kerri Behan earlier in the week. It was a very emotional service and I want to thank everybody involved. We had a padlet for Kerri Kindness running throughout the week and you can view the work on the padlet here:

As you know there were a number of competitions throughout Friendship Week and the winners are announced in the video message which I've made for the children, which you might share with them this evening- each winner will get a €10 Easons voucher in the post next week!

It just remains for me to wish all of the children to best from mid-term break I hope that next week they take a break from their screens and get some well-earned rest!

It was great to see all of the children in their class zoom meetings for Friendship Week this week and please God, before long, we will be back again face-to-face in school.

Until then we will continue with remote learning, which starts up again after midterm break on Monday the 22nd of February. Until then, take care and continue to stay safe!

Enda McGorman
