Seachtain na Gaeilge 2026

Seachtain na Gaeilge kicks off in our school this Monday. This special week celebrates the Irish language and gives pupils an opportunity to experience Gaeilge in a fun and engaging way.
Irish is an important part of our heritage and culture - especially in Mary Mother of Hope Senior School, and Seachtain na Gaeilge encourages everyone to use and enjoy the language both inside and outside the classroom.
Throughout the week, classes will be busy learning traditional dances, songs and poems. At the end of the week, pupils will have the opportunity to showcase what they have learned at a special school assembly. We are really looking forward to seeing all the wonderful performances and celebrating our language together.
