The Inspectorate of the Department of Education has published the report from our Term 2 inspection of ‘The Evaluation of Inclusive Practices and Provision for Children with Special and Additional Educational Needs in primary schools' on the Department of Education website.
The inspection was carried out on Tuesday 20th February and Wednesday 21st February. During ‘The Evaluation of Inclusive Practices and Provision for Children with Special and Additional Educational Needs in primary school’s inspection, Inspectors observed teaching and learning in mainstream class settings and in Special Education Teaching (SET) sessions. They engaged with pupils, parents, management, and staff.
Upon completion of the The Evaluation of Inclusive Practices and Provision for Children with Special and Additional Educational Needs’ inspection, the inspectorate produced a report, which was initially presented to the Board of Management of the School and the Staff. The Board of Management was then invited to make a short response to the report.
Upon completion of this process, the report was published on the website of the Department of Education and Skills (DES) on the 15th of May, 2024.
