Earlier this month, we were delighted to welcome Megan from Swim Ireland and Alan from the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) to our school. They spoke to our 5th and 6th class pupils about the importance of water safety, both in and around water, at home and in public spaces.

Their talk was timely and informative, especially as we head into the summer months when many of our students will be spending more time near water. From safe swimming tips to how to respond in an emergency, Megan and Alan shared practical advice that could one day save a life.

A huge thank you to both speakers for taking the time to speak with our pupils and raise awareness about this vital topic.
