Catholic Schools Week 2026
Catholic Schools week this year begins this Sunday 18 th January and runs until Saturday 24 th . The theme this year is Catholic Schools: Normal Lives, Called to Holiness . This theme is all about discovering that God calls every single one of us to be a saint. It doesn’t mean you have to be old, wear a special robe, or perform a miracle. God asks us to be holy in the things we do every day - at school, at home and with our friends. A big thanks to Ms. Carty for organising


Active Movement Breaks
At Mary Mother of Hope S.N.S., we understand the importance of movement breaks during the school day. Our school will be taking part in the Active Schools initiative 'Active Movement Breaks' from the Monday 19 th to February 13 th .The Active Break Every Day Challenge is a 4 week, annual, challenge designed to build movement breaks in to the school day . Food Dudes in Mary Mother of Hope!
A huge well done to all of our students on their first week of Food Dudes! The EU School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme is delivered to primary schools in Ireland through the Food Dudes Healthy Eating Programme. Food Dudes is designed to positively change children’s attitudes towards eating fresh fruit and vegetables, by combining three key elements: Repeated tasting, Rewards and Role modelling. A big thank you to Ms. McGrath and her team of students for organising the week!


School Book Fair 2026

Parent Association Family Table Quiz
The Parent Association would like to invite you to our fundraising Family Table Quiz on Friday, January 23rd 2026 from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm in Castaheany Community Centre which is located behind Mary, Mother of Hope SNS. The quiz is suitable for all school age children and their parents, and limited tables will be available. Children must be accompanied by an adult at the quiz, and a max of 6 people will be allowed at each table. The cost per table is €20 which can be

Student Voice: The life of a Student Council member
It has been a busy first term for Ms. Greene and our Student Council Members.
